Your schedule. Our nursery.
Flexible sessions for families who need care that fits around them — not the other way round.
What Flex Care means
Not all families need five full days. Not all schedules are fixed. Some parents work variable rotas. Some are returning to work gradually and need care that scales with their hours. Some families want their child to benefit from a Montessori environment two or three mornings a week, without a full-time commitment.
Our Flex Care programme offers sessions that can be arranged to suit your working pattern. Minimum session commitments apply, and availability varies by age group — contact the manager to discuss what is currently open. Flex Care is offered subject to availability: we do not hold spaces speculatively.
What does not flex is the quality of what your child receives when they are here.
Who it’s for
Working parents with variable rotas
Shift workers, part-time employees, freelancers, and those whose working hours shift week to week. Flex Care gives you a nursery place that accommodates your reality rather than asking you to fit a fixed pattern.
Parents returning to work gradually
If you are returning from parental leave and building up hours gradually, Flex Care allows you to match your nursery sessions to your growing working week without committing to full-time from day one.
Families wanting enrichment sessions
Some families want their child to benefit from the Montessori environment and peer interaction without a full-time commitment. Flex Care makes this possible, subject to availability by age group.
What your child gets
Flex is the schedule, not the quality. A child attending on Flex Care receives exactly what every child here receives:
- The same Montessori + EYFS prepared environment, maintained daily by trained practitioners
- The same key person system — your child has a named key person who knows them, tracks their development, and is their consistent point of contact
- The same chef-cooked meals prepared fresh on site from seasonal ingredients
- The same observation, planning, and documentation — we track every child’s development regardless of their session pattern
- Access to the outdoor environment every day, as weather and session timing allows
How to book Flex Care
Flex Care availability varies by age group and changes throughout the year. The best way to find out what is currently available is to contact our manager directly. We will discuss your working pattern, your child’s age, and whether we can accommodate a session structure that works for your family.
Government-funded hours — the universal 15 hours for all 3 and 4 year olds, and the 30 hours for eligible working families — can be applied to Flex Care sessions where places are available. Find out more about funded hours →
Minimum sessions & availability
Minimum session commitments apply to Flex Care. Exact session lengths and minimum commitments are confirmed at point of booking. Please contact us to discuss your specific situation — we will always be honest about what we can and cannot offer.
Montessori + EYFS in every session
The Montessori philosophy does not require five days a week to work. A child who attends two or three well-structured sessions in a prepared environment, with a consistent key person, is experiencing the same quality of care and learning as their full-time peers. Our practitioners plan for every child individually, regardless of how many sessions they attend.
